When to get help
Pause here
Get same-day care if the lump is on the face, the surrounding skin is hot, painful or swollen, redness is spreading, or fever or shivering develops. Anyone with diabetes or weakened immunity should also get same-day care. Arrange an examination if it grows, feels hard and does not move, lasts more than 2 weeks, returns or appears in a group.
